Home Energy Assessments
Home Energy Assessments are done by contractors who are BPI certified to provide you with information on where and how you are loosing energy in your home/business. Air loss occurs in our homes through attics, windows, doors, lighting, duct work, plumbing fixtures and electrical outlets. Other causes of air leakage into your home can come from windows and doors, basements/crawlspaces, HVAC hookups and anywhere you have gaps that allow wires into you home. 80 percent of most air leakage occurs in your attic space. In addition to spray foam insulation, we offer spray foam solutions to help you seal up air leaks with air sealing and duct sealing packages. Air sealing seals up all air leaks in the attic and duct sealing seals up leaks in connectors/registers . Spray Foam USA’s contractors goal is to help to conserve energy loss while working with your insulation to give you the most efficient and comfortable living space at a affordable price. Assessments vary by contractor, but usually include windows, doors, light sockets and attic/crawl space. The assessment is done by using technical equipment that includes a thermal camera showing the percentage of air being lost in these areas. By distinguishing areas of air loss with home energy assessments and using solutions provided to save you energy, you can look at saving up to 50 percent on future utility bills.
Once the assessment is done,a contractor can provide you with cost effective measures you can take to help reduce the loss of energy in your home.
